More Transformations Set For Downtown Winter Haven Dear Friends of Winter Haven,
Merry Christmas! Sometimes in the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, the true meaning seems to get lost in all the clutter. The Christmas season has different meanings for different people, but hopefully it can be a time of reflection and time spent with family. It should be a festive and joyous time and a time for us to be appreciative of how truly fortunate we are. I am amazed and delighted to see all the activity that is occurring downtown this time of year. The Christmas tree is up in the park and it looks fabulous. The merchants have done a fantastic job in decorating their stores and most of all, the people. I have heard comment after comment of what a great job the City and the private investors have done and it’s bringing the people downtown. It is really a treat to be able to walk downtown and greet your neighbors and friends. There is something to be said to have that ‘Main Street’ feel to your downtown. Without going into too much detail at this point, hold on to your hats because it is only going to get better. Over the next 2-3 years you will be amazed at the transformation that will continue to occur. Downtown is truly a reflection of your city, and our downtown will certainly be something the people of Winter Haven are going to be very proud of. Please make it a point to come downtown, say hello to your neighbor, or make new friends.
