“Our journey began with a simple goal: to offer our hardworking team wholesome, nourishing, food to fuel their long, yet fulfilling days. But that goal quickly blossomed into something bigger—a mission to enrich the Winter Haven community with food that’s not just good, but good for you.
We handpick organic ingredients whenever possible because we believe that good food should be packed with good stuff. We support our local farmers, from the crisp veggies they grow to the sweet honey they harvest. We’ve teamed up with Ethos Coffee Roasters, our friends from the nearby city of Lakeland, to ensure every cup of coffee is as fresh as it is responsibly sourced. It’s all part of how we’re brewing up a healthier, tastier community, one bite and sip at a time.
Dog Days Café is all about good vibes and even better company. We’ve poured our heart into creating a spot that feels like it’s made just for Winter Haven. Welcome to Slate 8, Family Billiards in beautiful downtown Winter Haven! Formerly known as Family Billiards, the famous pool hall over the years on 4th St.

El Olivo

Our restaurant has been serving hearty, authentic Mexican food since 1988. We are located in Downtown Winter Haven.

The Adobe-like exterior has a porch on the front for people watching or smoking, while the interior is well-decorated with bright colors and an ethnic theme.

In El Olivo you can find some of the finest Mexican food in Polk County for incredible prices. We have a wide selection of delicious homemade Mexican dishes, all made from the freshest and finest ingredients, like Enchiladas, Taco Salad, Chimichanga, Tamale, Quesadilla and our special plate: El Olivo.
